Take the atlas onto Android
Unciv is an open-source strategy game for Android and desktop, built around the civilisation-building structure of Civ V. Its compact presentation leaves room for the map and the choices around it. The Android APK shown here is the place to begin a game on your device.

The package details identify the build behind this download. If you return after time away, check the version before continuing a long game. Keep a copy of your saves when updating, especially if your civilisation uses a custom ruleset.
Set up a first game you can read
Open the APK through Android’s installer and follow the device’s prompts. Start Unciv, open a new game and review its settings before you launch the map. For a first attempt, choose a setup whose rules you can learn without also learning several unfamiliar mods.
Use the built-in tutorial to find the controls. Begin with a short decision loop: look at the nearby terrain, choose the immediate job for your city and give research a clear destination. Return to those choices after the next few turns rather than trying to memorise the whole game at once.
Keep the reference close
The civilisation notes help with the starting choice. The research guide explains how to turn a desired unlock into a route.
